My 2nd favorite county course after Quail Brook. Gotten much better the last 2 years. The terrain of the course is a pleasant challenge. Course doesnt drain well after the rains. FIX your slice before you get on the tee or you're in for a long day! Beware of #8 and #15. BRING THE BUG SPRAY!!! The third best of five Somerset County Golf Courses. Currently more challenging than the second best in the county due to the high rough which makes the course interesting. The hilly contours add to the challenges. But the high rough adds to slow play as well. Weekends outside of the first few groups can take 5 hrs, especially if the early groups aren't familiar with the course or don't play well. Decent public course which tends to be in fairly good condition. Open course that is much tougher than it looks due to hilly conditions. Pace can be real slow during weekend peaks. My 'home' course. Pace of play needs to be enforced here. This is a tougher course than people give it credit for. The course looks 10 times better than it did a few years ago and it is a fun challenge. Watch out for #8! Horrificly slow at times, I have been stuck waiting on the 3rd hole (Par 3) for up to 25 minutes. Took me 3+ hours to play one night. However, if it's not crowded it's a nice open course and well maintained. A few rolling hills and some very nice holes with water. Unfortunately, I have *never* seen a ranger ride around and enforce speed of play. One simple change to this course could make it a fantastic public course. Absolutely pathetic pace of play at times. It has taken me 3+ hours to play 9 on some days. Early morning tee time necessary if you want to finish in 4 ;) Otherwise, it's a pretty nice municipal course. Somewhat hilly in places. Your Review
