The greens at Bergen Point are their best asset; year round they are in solid condition. The rest of the course is long and windy with many water hazards and patches of Bermuda grass; reminiscent of a Florida golf course. The down side to this seaside layout is poor drainage; casual water is almost always evident on several holes. Overall the course is in good shape this Summer. Affordable tee times are easy to come by at this Suffolk County course. The clubhouse and pro shop leaves very little to be desired. The staff is helpful and friendly.
