Today was paired up with 2 other guys and we had a $50 bet. One guy took a 4 shot lead after 9 holes but found water trouble on hole 11 and never recovered. I shot 1-over 73 and won by a shot over the other guy. The guy who led by 4 at the turn shot 43 on the back and finished 4 shots behind.

The drinking was cold wet and windy, or the golf?

I shot a week's worth of high scores this past week on my trip to unfamiliar courses (for the most part) in Florida. Playing new courses will really kill your handicap. Mine shot up, but I'm confident I'll get it back down once I get back to my home courses once spring breaks and the courses improve their conditions (hopefully) next month. Even with the high scores, it was great to play in sun and warmth. Can't wait for spring in New England now.

Really Merlin. He does not have an extension cord that long. He just hooked a big, portable fan up in his room.

Pushed a few drives out there today. 39-41. What greens I hit were not close. Couldn't save par on any up/ down.
But it's February golf baby.

82 on Sunday, 45 degrees, slight winds. I battled apathy all day, plus my swing didn't work so good. As much as I've enjoyed the winter's golf, today the elements kind of wore me down. Golf the game is always always fun but when its cold all the time sometimes you miss the joy of being out there.
The greens today were wicked fast and every putt had an evil unfamiliar look to it. Defensive downhillers all day.
I chipped in twice, one a low 9i runner and the other a fancy high L wedge off a thin fairway lie, both pretty tasty.
