Tough day. Lately my game has new meaning; Grind hard and see if you can make something happen.

I sure seem to be working instead of playing this game.

Must be Masters fever bringing people out, the course was slam packed. After 2 1/2 hrs on the front nine we just quit, it was ridiculous.

Group in front were four young guys hitting from the back tee's - often well into the woods. Group behind seemed to have no problem teeing off while we were still waiting in the fairway. One guy hit over us while we were still waiting to hit our second shots. The college guys hitting from the tips however were not the bottleneck, the fivesome in front of them were slow too. Golfers everywhere.

46 - 10 over for 9, very poor off tee. Back to the range...

85 with two triple bogeys. Another windy day, and eventually I just got irritated by it. I don't mind playing the golf thru it, its a good challenge, its more the constant pushing up against you, the ever present whoosh in your ears. I can't remember the last non-windy round I've played and today it really grated on me hard. The course has driven me over the edge with its clumpy surface of the moon terrain and aerated torture greens so I've decided not to play here for a little while. For sanity's sake.

Gotta mention though that I hit one of the best iron shots ever, a 4i approach into a strong slice wind, clear line to pin but with the left side blocked out by the tree line. No choice but to try and draw the approach hard against that wind. Friends it was as good nay better than I could've expected. It flew high and absolutely posted up against the wind on a near perfect line. And I have to be a bit of an ass here and say that it was one of the best shots i've seen anyone hit--it was stunning. One that I won't soon forget and I think it represents a turning point in my swing and ball control quest.

You had a really strong run of good play there, so I'm sure you will sort it out.

It's the space between my ears, man.

When your course heals up your game will be solid, no doubt.

Finally broke 90 on my homecourse during competition: 45 out, 44 in. 38 putts, that's too many. Lots of dollar-spot on the greens that cost me at least 3 putts, there sure is room for improvement!

30-40 mph winds since Thursday. Supposed to be in the 40's today and tomorrow with more of the same. Probably not gonna be on the course just in case any trees fall down.

Another practice round Sunday, 86, waiting for the new grass to grow so they can open the greens.

Lost creek golf course has hit it's peak. Yep this course playes tough when the greens are rock hard and fast add a 25 mph wind and you are in for a ride. Short pins are terrible, you are either short of the green or running 20 feet past. LOL shot a smoth 76 and hit the ball great. putted well too. for me that is.

Played a quick nine this afternoon. I hadn't played for more than three weeks so I thought I'd be rusty. All in all, I was pretty happy with the 50 I scored. I hit a nice consistency groove on holes 6-9 that I can't usually match. My scores are normally so up and down. As usual when I play nine holes, I ended up wishing I could keep going. I normally score at least a stroke or two better on the back nine on this course, so maybe I could have had another sub-100 round.

Best moment -- I hit the flag stick from about 60 yards out. I was screaming for it to go in for a birdie, but unfortunately it dinged off and stopped about 6-8 feet from the pin, where I two-putted for a bogie. Dangit.

I thought about Player Monday, 2 over par thru 15 holes and came apart like a cheap suit with bogies on the last three holes.

To be Player, you needed to make at least a quad to blow up your round.

Walked nine, four over with a birdie on 9 (thank you golf gods). Hit ZERO fairways! Off the tee the swing is all screwed up right now. Either miss slightly on the rough, or just pull or push it dead into a tree. Putting was pretty good though.

Big weekend planned with Am tournament on Saturday and a fun round at Myrtle Beach on Sunday.

Played the best round of my life.Shot 81 which itself is unbelievable for me.The sad part is that if I do not blowup the last hole I would have broken 80,which is something I never imagined doing.

65 over nine and man it was poor.

Tee shots are OK, chipping OK, putting was off (for once, so not too bothered) but fairway shots, short game (other than chips) and bunker shots were rank awful.

Still feel like I've taken a step backwards recently although the fairways shots that I DIDN'T hit thin were actually very good. So perhaps only a small adjustment is all I need.

Maybe I just need to remember to stop at the top of my swing before unleashing the fury.
