Is anyone hitting the golf ball any longer this year, and has it helped you in your scoring?? If not have you improved you short game at all?? have you noticed a difference in either our bunker play, putting, chipping and pitching. If nothing else I hope your putting has because that is the club we use the most. I hope this opens your eyes a little bit more to what is really important in golf.

I'm chipping better, which has decreased my number of putts. Easier to 1 and 2 putt inside of 15 feet rather than inside 40 feet.

I'm kinda on kidave's route here. My putting is has improved, which has helped, but my chipping has also given me many better putting oportunities. The thing that has improved most is my iron play. The driving is still erratic, and i've made many adjustments to it, which i'm now pulling everything, but the irons have been very consistent and have either given me more GIR's, or put me into a better chipping location, which as i've said earlier, has improved. just gotta work on a better drive =/

I have rounds where I am longer this year and when longer still means in fairway, it helps my scoring since it puts a shorter club in my hands. The only exception seems to be on a short course where I'm left with a 'partial' swing shot instead of a full swing. I play a course about 5800 yards sometimes where driver often puts me too close, so I end up hitting lots of 3 woods/2 hybrids.
