I got a crappy set of clubs from walmart for learning with, and I managed to hit a ball right on the heel of the club, making a nice big dent in the bottom of the club.

I was looking for some suggestions on a new driver, new or gently used, for around the $50 mark.

Thanks!

Try Rock bottom golf they are a sponsor on this site, and I have dealt with them and have been very pleased with their service and product:

Get the Tight Lies over the Wilson.

I used the Wilson for 3 months. I surrendered it and went with a used Titleist from eBay and couldn't believe the difference in quality hits.

Adams makes GREAT clubs. Spend a few extra bucks and it will last you at least a season longer than the Wilson.

I agree about Rock Bottom Golf. Got my second set of clubs and my first real set of wedges from them. Very happy with the products and the service. Price is pretty darn good, too.
