The best score area would be alot better if it only used 18 hole scores. Look at some of the boards with only 18 hole scores they look alot better

I agree, nine hole scores don't really mean anything by themselves, a proper score is through 18.

I'll third this. I've had great 9's that turn in to mediocre 18's. How many times have we seen a pro go out in 28 or 29, but not come close to the elusive 59 and finish the day in 10th place?

The scores page on each course (linked on left of course page) allows you to turn off 9 holes. The only reason we allowed them to the front was just to fill in some course leaderboards with less scores posted. But as the sites traffic continues to grow, it will make sense to only show 18 out front as well.

I agree, especially since the course i play on has a super easy front 9 and a super hard back 9. So the concept of having a great 9 that turns into a terrible 18 is very much a reality for me. I never play 18... I figure once I can play the front 9 with a decent score consistently... then I'll move on to the tougher back 9.

we are looking into possibly changing this within next month or so.

ipvfreely, ideally courses have seperate rating/slope for each 9 and the course leaderboard is ranked by differential which should adjust for an one 9 being easier.

Some courses only have 9 holes though, so at least keep the option to turn on 9 hole scores.

Ya I know, and mine does... just saying that the front and back 9s can be vastly different difficulties

Being able to exclude or include nine hole rounds and 18 hole rounds from any score list would be great (to be redundantly clear: view either 9, 18, or both). It'd also be great if the same filter could be added to the reports.
