Played in Jamaica last week. Perfect temps but brutal wind first 2 days. Two decent rounds(85@ Half Moon Bay,82@ Cinnamon Hill) and two good ones(74,72 both @ White Witch). Highlite was dbl eagle in 3rd rnd on par 5 #16 playing 490 that day. Crushed drive and hit 5 iron in. Caddies and playing partners got pretty excited over that.
So did I.

That's badass. I see that you've added the Double Eagle stat to your oob stat tracking. Wonder how many oobers have that active.

Way to go on the Double Eagle!!!! Perhaps driver 5 iron is the magic combination. Isn't that what Louis Oosthuizen used? Well done indeed! |
No, he used a 4 iron.

40 / 37 77
tied my career low.
(0) beers, not counting the fence post I consumed in the parking lot....can't recall the last time I didn't have 12+ in a round.....

Shot 95 today. Felt good, need more rounds to get comfortable around the greens, though. Need more practice with my wedges, too.

I met my first cousin (once removed) this past weekend on the golf course. He shot a 38 on the front nine (parred the first seven holes). Then he turned around and shot a 55 on the back.
Golf.

Thanks. Just a matter of finding time. I have 2 little boys (ages 4 and 3) and a wife that works full time and in a Master's program, so 3 and 4 hour blocks of time are the biggest hurdle to playing more golf.

Actually walked complete 18 after work before dark today, 83 (par 73). Not bad, had a few lucky kicks but also missed a few putts which should have been down. This week my afternoon 9 hole rounds have been going very well. I'm getting the swing on new irons grooved. The driver is still shakey. But been scoring pretty decent.
All this is good build up for the next real test, stroke play tournament on Saturday at Cobblestone Park, one of the best courses in the area in my opinion.
