Has anyone used these, or even seen them in use?

My wife & daughter got me a Groupon to Brookstone. I've got $50 to spend, and she mentioned that they almost got me a sleeve of these. $25 for 3 balls seems a bit steep, considering how likely I am to lose it, but I'm also intrigued by a "flashing" golf ball.

I'm probably going to go with either a chipping net or one of those little RC helicopters, but I admit to be tempted by the LED golf balls.

My buddy has a couple of flashing golf balls. They are easy to find and spot in the air and on the ground. Lose a little distance but when you're trying to get them last couple holes in with no sun its easier then trying to find a normal ball.

I don't mean to be a rules snob, but I'm pretty sure that these are non-conforming.

No doubt about that Bryan, but I think nobody in his right mind will use them in a regular round anyway. They most probably won't fly straight due to weight distribution, so even if one was tempted to use these, no worries.

They are fun in a night-round though. Hang a light in each pin, provide some light at the teebox and have fun. Might be a good idea for a mid-summer nighttournament! Cool

They have these night tournaments around here at the local courses. (par 3 courses) Sound pretty fun!
Only thing is, I saw that the light only stays on for 8 mins after impact. If you are playing w/ a couple other people, there's a good chance you won't get up to your ball within that 8 mins. I guess these could help promote faster play/ready golf! Smile
