A lot of people on facebook do the "Awkward Moment When".

I am helping a golf course with their social media, and I decided for a laugh to start writing some funny golf Awkward whens... so I thought I'd start a thread and we can share some stories.

Here are a few of mine, some true, some not, but hopefully, all pretty funny,

Awkward moment when you make a GIR and then realise you're on the chipping green

Awkward moment when you swing and then say "Be Right" and the ball is still on the tee

Awkward moment when you yell FORE and its 100 yards short of the cart in front of you

Awkward moment when you wait for the group in front of you to clear the green, and then you top it and it dribbles 20 feet in front of you

Awkward moment when you need another bucket of range balls at the turn because the first bucket is swimming on the front 9

Awkward moment when you get out your driver on the 10th tee, look at it confused, and realize its left handed, because you drove off in the wrong cart after lunch.

Awkward moment when your tee goes further than the golf ball

Awkward Moment when the group in front of you lets you play through and then you hit 2 balls OB and the next one hits a tree and goes behind you.

Awkward Moment when Tee up your ball, and then your playing partner asks you how far you hit your putter, because you grabbed your white putter instead of your white driver (true story)

I once walked 50 yards, from the green to my cart, with the flagstick in my hand. I guess the only reason I realized what I'd done was when it wouldn't fit in my bag.

My most recent awkward moment was just last week and went something like this: "I was playing a Titleist Pro V1x, number 3." I said. He said, "Well I was playing a Titleist Pro V1x with a number 2. I found one with a 3 on it way back there. I think that is my 2 you just hit onto the green." "Ooops."

My variation on your situation was that I had just hit his into the water hazard.

How about making a bomb of a putt, about 35 feet, one putting a par 3 and still having to tell the guy keeping score 6.
