The poll Oob ran had one person answer "over 75%". That is pretty darn good. The following is an excerpt about putting statistics on the PGA Tour for 2010 (which are likely similar to 2011 and 2012)
10-foot putt
Tour players make 41.3% of them
Best in 2010: Alex Prugh made 28 of 44.
Worst in 2010: Greg Owen missed 22 of 28.
The best professional from 10 feet made 64%. Hmmm ... I wonder if our Oober who makes over 75% may have over-estimated his or her ability.

Maybe he does alot of 2-putting from the 30-40 foot range, and only gets 1 or 2 10-footers a season?

I'm in the 2 or 3 out of 10 give or take on a good day. If i made the 10-12 footer today on teh 17th I would have had my first ever eagle. But Alice showed up and putted for me and left me 2 feet short.

I would take on Greg Owen in a putting challenge. Clearly the man has problems.

Probably make a 10 footer around 5% of the time. 1 in 20. But I'm getting more comfortable with my full swing and about to turn some attention to more short game practice, to try to improve my up and down results and reduce 3 putts.

Speaking of Player, wonder where he went. I think he might have finally realized that HE was the only one who believed him, and has probably moved on to a new golf site, with a new unsuspecting crowd. I'll miss his childish imagination, something so rare for a 27 year old.

I rarely miss inside of five feet...
but add a foot outside of that, and the averages go down considerably.
I'd say I'm 90% from five feet and about 50% from 8 feet. Ten feet, maybe 20%.
And that is why it is so critical to get that chip inside of five feet.

Get a laser rangefinder and put your approach shot inside of five feet instead of chipping to five feet....lol
