Doubtful. They'd have to give up control of how much TV time there would be.
I'd like to see it at Bethpage or Cypress Point.

No way Cypress Point. It's a staunch mens only club. That is why they were taken out of the rotation for what was then the Crosby Clambake. PGA would never consider any club that practiced segregation of any kind.

Well ... if they won't hold it at my "home" course, Leslie Park Golf Course, my second choice would be Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn, NY. Talk about a home field advantage, the Euros would be lucky to get out of town in one piece much less compete against Team USA. Of course, we would get the inevitable public relations black eye for the fan behaviour but what the heck, a win is a win. The way Europe has regularly pounded the USA over the past 20 years, being labelled as the land of the rude and uncouth seems like a small price to pay.

Hawktree in Bismarck, ND.
Though I don't think Bismarck has enough hotels to host such an event. Hotel prices in western North Dakota are ridiculous. I was looking to stay there this Saturday, and the cheapest room I could find would have been over $90 for a Motel 6 room.

Contrary to some beliefs, Augusta has female guests that play. They just can't join at this time. Cypress doesn't allow them on the property.

Ireland. I'm sure there are a few suitable courses. I'd love an excuse to go back there.
Any of you fellas read "A Course Called Ireland"? .. sorry , off topic

Congratulations Brian that's probably the first time anybody has ever had that thought let alone said it out loud. That is what I would call a completely original thought, you don't see that every day. Anyways a nice idea but there are infrastructure problems, ie not enough street parking. but you could get a similar effect by doing it at Bethpage Black. Long Island 'tude is very similar to Brooklyn 'tude only slightly less noxious. In all seriousness though having any kind of pro level event at a bona fide muni, its a great idea.

I'ld like to see 'm play somewhere mainland Europe. WinstonGolf in Germany would be a great venue for it but since it's property of Wijnand Pon (VAG), I'm not sure that would ever happen.

So one type of segregation is OK (no female members), but another is not (no women allowed)? This contradicts your previous statement:

It's the same contradiction the PGA Tour uses every year when they co-sanction the Master's as a PGA Tour event.

True....I was just pointing out the difference between the two courses not apologizing for the failures of both.

That would be the proverbial "dry heat" How about a Gulf Coast mid day round of golf when the relative humidity is 100%. You know what "Relative Humidity" is? It's the sweat that runs down the back of your neck when you get caught boinking your sister in law.
