what kind of scores on a round would make you happy to play all the time?
would it be even par or maybe 80/90 cause its just a game.
could you or would you be able to commit to what it takes to be that good.
does it even matter or is this as good as it gets.

I'm happy just being on the course.
I will never be satisfied because there is ALWAYS room to improve.

Yesterday I shot 3 over on the front. Second best for me on that course. You know what I said at the turn? "Ya know I missed 8 birdie putts?"

Scores can never be low enough.

On Sunday I shot a 93 going out with an 8, 6, 7 so I was sitting at 72 going to 16 if I could have broke 90 I would have probably had a heart attack. But all and all 93 was my best round of the year so I was pretty happy. I think if I keep improving I will be happy.
A golf buddy of mine said to me yesterday, this year you wanted to break 100 and you did pretty well with that next year you will want to break 90 then 80, it is a never ending battle, but if you have fun it doesn't really matter what you shoot. I agree with him.

just being on the course with my pals drinking for 5 hours is good enough for me. being in an office 8-9 hours a day makes you forget what time of day it is outside.

just as others said, you can never be happy enough with golf. you hit a good drive and people say "good shot," but you reply, "i didn't get all of it." with golf, i'm happiest if i planned to do something and it happened, for example, a putt that i planned to put one ball outside the cup, even if i miss the putt, and i hit it with the right speed, i'm happy that that was the plan, i just misread it.

I just realized what makes me TRULY happy on the course.
Playing with a nice group of golfers and enjoying the day of golf. It's the comradery of being out there and congratulating a person for a good shot or razzing them for a choke. Stuff like "Hey, you dropped your lipstick" when they leave a putt REALLY short. "That 2nd guy can really drive. You ought to let him tee off first" when they drive OB.

The FRIENDLY competition makes it more exciting but I can have just as much fun without it. DID I JUST SAY THAT?

It's simply the socialization of the game that I enjoy.
