hi Gummay818. if you are looking for help with your approach shots, just remember that there are two different swing planes for woods, and irons. the approach is usually an iron, so you could stand a little closer to the ball. see if that helps!

Looks like you've resolved some of your putting issues. Are you having more problems inside 100 yds or getting to the 100 yd. marker?

Hi Gummay818,
Saw your reply. I think that you are doing the right thing by focusing on ball contact, but until that improves, I wouldn't hit anything above a 5 iron or 5 wood.

Just remember on those two clubs.....stand a little taller over the ball with a narrow stance and when you swing, swing it back wide and low and slow to promate a sweeping motion of the club on the way back down.Dont be afraid to take a little grass with the stroke.

The reason most golfers top the ball is because they put the ball too far forward in their stance. Play those two clubs by placing the ball center or slightly forward of center in your stance. Get some rythm to your swing. Hit em good!

I see you're still at it gummay818.

Work on taking half swings instead of full swings. Swing easy and work on your accuracy above anything else right now. Your ball striking will improve with time.

You took any lessons yet?

Welcome to the group! You and I can learn this game together. Of course, I won't be able to do more than the indoor driving range due to snow until the summer!
