 smepple says:1st ever lesson today. Two main things to work on: 1. Grip - I have a completely new grip which feels somewhat funny, but is much more fundamentally sound. 2. I take the club back too far to the inside. I am struggling to break this habit as I have really ingrained it in my swing, but this is what the pro wants me to work on most. Next lesson one week from today. 7/25/09

smepple says:I hit my longest drive ever, 303 yards, on the 4th hole at Fresh Pond GC today. Slow groups in front of us meant I only got 4 holes in, so I don't even get to record it!! 4/28/09

smepple says:Looks like my first golf season has probably come to an end. I'm pretty happy with the steady improvement. I expect 2009 to be tougher, but hope to continue the progress. 2009 goals: - GIR > 25% - Better course management with new GPS unit - Build confidence w/ driver 12/22/08
