plee624 says:philly sports is starting to get really exciting. the sixers have locked up a solid team that should have a chance at the finals for years to come, the eagles resigned b-west to a sweet deal... surprising??? , the phils are hanging in there, and who gives a crap about the flyers. also, the soul just brought a champion ship home! ray, i've been expecting some deep insight from you... what's up? got nothing to say? 8/13/08
raymondhjkim says:Wan i definetly want to regardless of who goes so... lets target for the same time frame - 14th and 15th. 8/11/08
plee624 says:sup guys, this sat we are having a get together to send cline off to boson and have fun while doing it. i made a reservation at lucky strike 9:30 pm. i reserved a lane for 1 hour. more than that and we'll start to get bored. sunmi, jimmy and i will be in the city already so the rest of you need to get to lucky by 9:15. there are a lot of nice bars in the area so if you get there early, walk around and have a drink. we'll probalby stay at luckky for an hour or two and head out somewhere else for a few more drinks and a night cap. see you there. check out the site for dresss code info. www.bowlluckystrike.com/ -plee 8/1/08
plee624 says:sunmi and i were going to try it out on saturday... until we heard that the food sucked butt. maybe one day we will check it but these days eating out together is such a commodity that i won't waste it on that place. plus i don't respect restaurants that don't open on sunday. resting on the sabbath is great but no korean restaurant down here can last 6 months without sunday customers. mark my words! 7/29/08
raymondhjkim says:Pretty good for the price. It was a tough track. Lots of trees and twice as many bunkers. I suspect Twisted Dunes would be even more bunkerish. Couldn't finish either 9 started on 5 finished on 17 before the rain washed us out. 7/29/08
wanyi77 says:www.iliketofu.com/ my friend's uncle openned a place up in cherry hill near h-mart. you guys should check it out. 7/29/08
raymondhjkim says:To clarify we would get two rooms, each room has two beds, at $199/room. $100 per person. 7/28/08
raymondhjkim says:Golf Trip!!! Ok boys... here is the deal. 9/14~9/15. Go down to Atlantic City on Sun 9/14, and play May's Landing Golf Club after 1pm $45. Spend the night at the Borgata room with 2 queen beds, $199. Then on Monday early tee time at twisted dunes $79. That whole trip costs about $225 without food. Gamble and we may be able to pay for it. Who's down? 7/28/08
raymondhjkim says:thesandtrap.com/extras/swing_check/swing_check_t I think this article on the sand trap can shed some insight on all of our swings. For me i took away taking the club on the same plane as address. I find myself taking underneath the plane often. 7/28/08
raymondhjkim says:Pretty typical of Eldrick. I would rather of had Josh Smith but i'm not dissappointed. Philadelphia has bad history with signing named guys after injury or guys who are always injured...Tartabull, Webber, Kearse, Forsberg. So i am cautiously optimistic. 7/12/08
wanyi77 says:anyone else super excited about the sixers? i truly think we're one veteran shooter away from a championship caliber team. 7/10/08
plee624 says:During the tournament, Woods said his knee throbbed when he walked, but it was swinging the club that really hurt. "I didn't really have a go-to shot because I wasn't sure where the pain was coming from. ... Saturday was pretty bad, but Sunday was worse," Woods said. "Honestly I never thought about quitting. I was going to make it. I might have been slow but I wasn't going to to stop playing. Would I do it again? Probably. I knew I could win." -tw 7/8/08
plee624 says:"When I had arthroscopic surgery on my left knee after the Masters, I knew my ACL was basically shot," Wood said. "I was just trying to get through the season, then planned to have reconstructive surgery. Unfortunately for me, I developed two stress fractures during my rehabilitation and that set me back. "I wanted to play in the Memorial Tournament, but couldn't walk. I just figured if I took it easy for a couple weeks, I would be able to play in the U.S. Open," Woods said. His rehabilitation before the U.S. Open consisted of hitting four or five balls in a row, and then sitting in the cart, because the stress fractures hurt. Once the pain subsided, he would hit a few more balls He also said he worked hard on his putting. 7/8/08
plee624 says:ray: did you read this shite on golf.com? it's part of a blog from tigers site. get a waste basket because after reading this you are going to retch. what a complete ass? he's so full of himself. i feel bad for rocco because he must feel like the biggest chump in the world. apparently he got beat by a cripple. tigers dad created a monster because i think this fool thinks he's jesus christ. 7/8/08
wanyi77 says:i made a 3:20 tee time (actual time) at mountain view for this sunday. maybe afterwards we can go to caroline's for food/drinks/weed. 7/7/08
raymondhjkim says:Today i was in postion to crush 80...but two things happened. First: On hole 15 some cunt ranger came and said we were holding up pace of play. She could have ended it right there, but she wouldn't go. She accused of looping another round and then she said she would understand us taking so long if we were putting for $50,000. Our round time...we teed off at 12:00pm and finished at 3:42. It because that course lets off twosomes. The pace of play is slow. So both Jimmy and i were furious and it go me off my game a little. On 17 i sliced my drive and got behind a tree and hit it. Instead of punching out i tried a crazy slice shot hit the tree again. Triple bogey. I was hitting 79 on the 18th and i had 94 yards to my approach. Hit a full choke down pitch, which would normally be perfect but the juice of the moment made me hit it long, and had a 30 footer down hill which i rolled 7 feet past. Came back up for par and 79 and burned the left edge for 80. I hated myself. 7/6/08
raymondhjkim says:Finally this article above was si insightful because i realized what he was talking about with the left shoulder. I feel my best when my swing feels compact and connected. I told Jimmy last sun that i have to stand closer to the ball to feel good. Any while that promoted a good feeling what it was doing was artifically getting me more compact with my shoulder turn becaue I was so close to the ball. I realize now that the more loose or disconnected my left arm feels from my body the more inconsistent my shots are. hope this helps. 7/2/08
raymondhjkim says:Did you guys read the "fix your swing article" in the cigar lounge in this site? If not: oobgolf.com/content/columns/cigar+lounge/1-1609- I don't know how credible the writer is but the third paragraph really opened my eyes re: Consistency and power comes fromt he shoulder turn. I've been chasing a good swing this whole year and basically i have broken it down to two areas, grip and takeaway. Grip - neutral grip for me helps my wrist be parrallel with club face at the top. In digest Ledbetter talked about the feel of the grip and wrist cock at the top of your swing and that helped me tremedously. You can have a neutral grip but without the proper wrist cock you may not be square. There was an article in golf mag about taking the club away from the inside of the imaginary target line which helped me keep my ball straight. I tended to take the club back outside the target line which made me come over the top on my downswing. 7/2/08
plee624 says:in case you can't access the link, here are the rates... after 1:00 $39 after 3:00 $29 plus.... $1.50 draft beer!!! 7/1/08
raymondhjkim says:I've been looking at some of the lowest handicaps in OOBgolf and their equipment. Try it is is fun. 6/29/08
plee624 says:sorry fellas. sunmi's rents want to buy me dinner this sunday. how is the week after for you guys? i can't play on the 4th cuz i'm going to ac with brian hyung but that sunday i'd like to play. let me know. 6/25/08
wanyi77 says:june 29th golf. i made 2:10 tee times at both mountain view and hanover golf club. hanover is $26 to walk or $40 to ride. not bad! let me know if you guys can play, otherwise i'll ask michael lee and co. 6/24/08
raymondhjkim says:Played a scramble so did not post today's round. But i fixed the driver. I am using a neutral grip now and i hit so many good shots today. it is the same neutral grip as back in my day. I have been using a slightly stronger grip but noticed in my swings today that it closed the club faced down for me at impact. 6/23/08
raymondhjkim says:The clinc video, the look of agnony while hitting at the us open is why i hate tiger woods. He is so damn cocky in this clinc. 6/21/08
wanyi77 says:www.golflessons.tv/ this clinic by tiger is really insightful. check out part II as well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApeBFq12iYM 6/18/08
raymondhjkim says:Renault Winery Golf... Fairly new golf course (3~4 years old) in Egg Harbor - about an hour away from my house. We should all play there. Very nice course. The best greens I've played on in a long time (better than Pine Hill greens)they really ran true. It is a wide open course with a handful of holes where it make you think about how you want to hit your tee shot in order to get the best approach which made the course extra fun. 6/15/08
raymondhjkim says:I played today and hit the new hybrid 6 times in situations where previously i would have used a 3 wood. I have learned how to hit the ball straight now. The ball flight is low like piercing. It was a great buy. I'm actually starting to like the fact that i have hybrids for my 3 and 4 as well so i may not get a new set. we'll see. 6/15/08
plee624 says:wan: i am no longer interested in the driver. my driver is fine. i think i need a new hybrid. 6/15/08
raymondhjkim says:New Hybrid is nice - every shot i have hit with it so far has been a fade - so i hope that flight continues so i don't even have to think about it when i use it. I was surpised how easy it is to hit. 6/14/08
